In this season opener home game vs the Eagles, the fans saw a dominating Packers D in the first half, limiting Philadelphias offense to 49 total yards in two quarters. While the Packers offense had trouble executing early on, finishing two drives with field goals for a 6:0 lead, a 37yrd pass from Aaron Rodgers to Tight End Donald Lee brought GB into the Eagles red zone and got everybody going. The drive was topped off with a 2 Yrd TD pass to third stringer TE Tory Humphrey. With 42sec to play, the Eagles tried to strike back before halftime but continued their abysmal performance when Donovan McNabb threw one of his three interceptions and gave the Pack another chance to score. After getting sacked on the first play of the drive, a perfectly executed screen pass to HB Ryan Grant for 24yrds brought Aaron Rodgers in scoring distance with only seconds to play before halftime. A short strike to WR Greg Jennings who bet the corner in one-on-one coverage gave the Green Bay Packers a well deserved 20:0 lead at halftime.

Coming out of the locker room, Philadelphia got better into the game although the Eagles fans had to wait until the beginning of the fourth quarter for their team to score. Brian Westbrook carried the ball into the endzone from 2 yards out on a fourth down giving the team a slight hope to come back into the game. But the Packers didn't let the game get out of their hands, controlled the ball well and scored another touchdown when Aaron Rodgers hit backup RB Brandon Jackson on a 6yrd pass for the final score of 27:7. Best player for the Pack was Quarterback Aaron Rodgers who had a almost perfect game although playing with a healing shoulder injury.
