Ryan Jensens 2012 NFL Mock Draft

Ryan "Radio" Jensen kicks off his 2012 NFL Mock Draft Season

E-mail Print PDF

Horray... We never had two Mock Drafts before start of FA. Ryan "Radio" Jensen sounds off AFTER the Rams - Redskins trade that basically ensured that two QB`s will go 1-2 in this years 2012 NFL Draft.

Have fun guys, and I would love to get some comments on my Mock, of course also critical comments and what you honestly think about the picks. But like the comments Moose911 received, please, be gentle and leave them with style and respect.

1. Indianapolis Colts (2-14): Andrew Luck, QB, Stanford

Boring pick – the Colts get rewarded with Peyton 2.0. A face of the franchise for years to come. Maybe RG3 will be better, but Andrew fits better – at the moment.

2. Washington Redskins (Trade with St. Louis Rams) (5-11): Robert Griffin III, QB, Baylor

Boring pick Number 2 – the Redskins sold their future to satisfy the community and get a franchise quarterback. Cam Newton paved the way for this pick.

3. Minnesota Vikings (3-13): Matt Kalil, OT, USC

I think lots of people regret that Ponder was drafted last year – the Vikings are committed to him and therefore they have to protect the surprisingly high pick. Kalil is not a sexy pick, but if he is half as funny as his brother then the locker room is gonna be a nice place to be for years to come.

4.  Cleveland Browns (4-12): Trent Richardson, RB, Alabama

Cleveland football ought to be defense first with a strong running game – like in the past. They draft Richardson and address all other stuff later – this is the luxury of having two first round picks.

5. Tampa Bay Buccaneers (4-12): Morris Claiborne, CB, LSU

Talib and Barber are questionable – maybe they draft some help for Josh, but I think: Stick with your strengths. Tampa always relies on their secondary and Claiborne should fill in on day one.

  • Lions assistant checks out Matt Armstrong of Grand Valley State
Representatives from 12 NFL teams — including an offensive line coach from the Detroit Lions — were present at Grand Valley State’s pro day on April 11, when seven Lakers players worked out indoors on FieldTurf. Matt Armstrong, C (6-foot-1 5/8, 298 pounds) — Armstrong — who was at the NFL Scouting Combine — ran the 40-yard dash in 5.18 seconds. He had a 32-inch vertical jump and 8-foot-10 broad jump. He did 24 lifts of 225 pounds on the bench press. Armstrong did not do the shuttle runs or three-cone drill. • Howard Jones of Shepherd visits with Dallas Cowboys
Shepherd hasn’t had a player selected in the NFL draft since 1979 (running back Wayne Wilson), but defensive end Howard Jones could change that. Jones (6-foot-2 3/8, 234 pounds) was at the NFL Scouting Combine and stood on his numbers from the event (he was a top performer in his position group in the vertical jump and among the top performers at his position in the 40-yard dash, broad jump and three-cone drill). Jones worked out at linebacker during the pro day on April 9, which was held on a sunny, 55-degree day and held outdoors and run on FieldTurf. Jones is among the prospects who visited with the Dallas Cowboys. Tracking teams’ interest in top 2014 NFL Draft prospects […]
